Hi from the UK

Post by droopy »

:D
Greetings,
Thanks to Uncle Google i found this site and i have been inspired.

I had never considered Distilling until my 70 year old Father offered me some home brew that turned out to be Brandy.

I am now very eager and learning all i can before i put a toe (or my cash) in the water

Welcome to the Forum!
Lots of people find their way here.
Lots of people think "this is going to be a breeze".
Lots of people start making and find out that what we
do takes lots of time and pacience.
Lots of people are never herd from again.

Do your reading and take your time. Build or buy a still.
Make your wash and then distill it. I think you will find
your product will be far better than anything you can buy.
But, most important have fun and stay safe in what you do!

Welcome to HD Droopy -- there are several folks here from the UK that can give you advice on how/where to procur pieces/parts if you choose to build a rig yourself. Making liquor is an enjoyable hobby but, as many have found out, building stills can be just as much fun. Good folks here and lots of info. Read through the new distiller's lounge and good luck.

Welcome to the forum, as mentioned all the information is here you just have to read through and find it. If you give us a little more information on what you like to drink you can save a lot of reading on still design by concentrating on the one that will fit your needs! Good Luck and welcome to a great new adventure that will lead to a great hobby :D
