Copper, copper,copper

Post by rtalbigr »

I had ten of my men up on the roof puttin up a parapet today and the mechicanical contractor gets a big delivery. So, I'm lookin down on all this bright, shinny copper pipe. Every thing from 3/4 inch up to 4 inch, and hundreds of feet each. Some of my men are saying, man I could live for years with all that. What am I thinkin? "D***, D***, D***, what kinda still could I build with that?" Money was the farthest thing from my mind.

Can't blame your guys for thinking that. Copper is now the poor man's gold. Just look at all the stories recently relating to copper theft. I just read about a 2000 pound church bell being stolen...

Hey Big R
That is why I make friends with all the suppliers on our jobs, Ive come out with some needed stuff they just take back to their warehouse for scrap couple bucks offered always helps. Construction does have its benefits sometimes besides aches, pains, and bad backs.
It is what you make it
