imformation overload

Post by kno_man »

wish i had register sooner.reading lounge is awesome.i've had a few days to browse through things, start learning the ropes.i'd like correct a oversite on my first post,i'min north fla, retired and more than three time the age of consent. in the introduction to tony acklands' site he recommends to read it about ten times, i've read some of it fifty times, learn something each time.i've downloaded books on math, chemistry, physics.what i've learned up until now is all theroy, its time for hands on.i chose the boka still and yes i'm working off the orginal plans.i had considered the modifications rad mentioned, but i figured on my first project, stick to specs,i will reevaluate.
thanks alot for all the posts. i'm going to spend much time organizing and assimilating all this new enfo.

I agree with all. I love reading these pages over and over. So much information and so little room in my head.. Enjoy and be safe...

Soon after I found this site I started printing out chapters from Tony's parent site. I think I've printed most of it by now, and put in a big looseleaf binder. (I have access to free paper, but I have to buy my own toner. :? ) I still refer to the "book" fairly often, sometimes just to refresh my memory of something, or to answer a question that might come up. Some of the info is a little dated and a look through the forum on any given subject might yield valuable updates but to my "old school" way of thinking the parent site (Mother Ship?) remains a valuable resource/starting point.
