The Grand Master
I was visiting with my neighbor today when his 75 year old father showed up. Smiling he handed me a green glass bottle with a ceramic cork. In broken English he told the story of its origin. Some thirty odd years ago back in the old country (Portugal) he to had a still. He has a 120 gallon pot still. This bottle was from a batch of cognac he made in 1981. This he tells me it is the best he has ever made. Then my neighbor tells me that he hasn't seen his dad bring out the "good stuff" in a long, long time. Man do I feel honored. Too bad Im on call for the company I work for. Cant wait to sample it. Its gonna be a long week.......Now I really have had the bar raised. Gonna be hard to match that.
........WHY?.....Because I can......
