Warning When Transporting Alcohol
My wife put a new half gallon on Vodka in the trunk and laid it down. When she opened the trunk half of it was spilled out all over my trunk. Luckily nothing more happened than evaporation. Try explaining that to the insurance company if it ever caught fire.

Alcohol vapors, 95 degree day, hot exhaust, not a good combination.Mud Mechanik wrote:Damm, what proof you drinkin?King Of Hearts wrote: if it ever caught fire.

Re: Warning When Transporting Alcohol
once upon a time...
some friends and I had a serious round of practical jokes going on. One day a couple of us took a 3 foot long skin off of a halibut and rolled it up and hid it under the back seat of our 'friends' Suburban. Another guy drained his washer fluid and replaced it with milk. He was leaving the next day on a trip for a couple of weeks. This was summertime in Texas...
Well, he parked that thing at the airport for a couple weeks and when he came back... he said it smelled horrible from across the parking lot... so he's driving home with the windows down and trying hard not to puke from the fish skin stench when he decides he oughta hit the windshield washer to clean some of the dust off the windshield. He described it as a yellow liquid with white chunks and a smell that made him wretch...
He had to stop and wash the truck because he couldn't stand the smell!
I don't think I have ever laughed as hard as I did listening to him describe the scene...

A friend of mine's wife bought me a Jug of nasty table wine, because it was in a cool jug. She innocently enough, put it in the back seat of my truck. It was winter here. I went home, never removed it. It froze over night and blew glass chunks and wine slushy all over my truck. Never got the smell out. A hot summer day and the inside of that truck would remind me.

Was working a job in Cali during the 80's. An expat co-worker got screwed for another month (the rent for a 1 br POS was $1000/mo) by his landlord. He (barely) opened a can of sardines and epoxy glued it to the bottom of the kitchen counter. Subtle but impressively stinky after the doors have been closed for a few hours. The gift that keeps giving.

I had a friend who ran a small movie catering business and one of the crew hid a salmon in one of the barley used outside compartments of his work vehicle. He was going out of his mind trying to figure out where that smell was coming from. Of course it was the summer. I think it traumatized him a little 'cause he still brings it up now and again, years later. Well, maybe it's me who keeps bringing it up ...

Back when I worked at the dealership, I found a blackbird chick on the side of the building. Full feathers, just couldnt fly yet. I put it in a guys toolbox. Then forgot about it...... It was a friday on a memorial weekend. He came back to shit all over inside his toolbox..... The bird had wedged itself down inside and died.... Basterd was pulsating with magots. Even after we found it and removed the "mass" it still stunk for days. The gift that keeps on giving.......

Must've been 1,000 Extras or Background Performers ...
What was funny in my friend's case is he had to show up for work everyday and feed these people. The whole time his truck was stinking like rotting fish in the summer heat. He was pissed off ... and embarrassed.

Re: Warning When Transporting Alcohol
When I was in the military we had some parking spaces at our shop that no one ever parked in. Because whereas a family of skunks that lived in the culvert right next to them. They were great spots right upfront. So we would get newbies in that didn't know any better. And they would park there. When they weren't around. We would throw rocks at the colvert and get the skunks pissed. They would come out. And if you scared them just right they would spray the car.
This was all fine and dandy till someone did it to the commanders car. He had someone come take them away.
Fun time was over. Back to smearing catfish charlie on the cars. Nobody ever liked us nightshift guys.

Hmmm, I wonder why...Prairiepiss wrote: Nobody ever liked us nightshift guys.
When I worked in a french fry factory, they used to use flumes to transport the spuds. The water used in it stank.
One day the foreman pissed one of the leading hands off once too often. So he started a program of putting a bottle of flume water on the foremans pot plant in his office. This went on for weeks.
Was pretty funny watching the foreman come charging through the workshop, pot plant in tow and hurl it in the dumpmaster once he worked out where the stink was. The stink wasn't as good as the expression on the formans face once he was told what happened.
You design it, I make it. Copper and Stainless. Down under. PM me.
