The horrid smell of shelf likkers

Post by jimmyjames1981 »

Before tasting a properly home distilled product i never noticed the horrid smells that shelf likkers have, going to the bar is completely different now, all of the likkers i taste all i can smell is acetone.... the worst is the higher proof snapps like goldschlager and rumple mintz, they must make no cuts and hope to conceal the horrid taste with all of the sugar and flavor additives.... its so bad that i think it would taste the same as taking a shot of straight acetone, it makes my stomach quiver after taking a shot of the crap. I belive that these distillers continous stills dont make cuts worth a crap...

I have a gallon jug of acetone i use for cleaning stuff, it smells exactly like a cheap old bottle of vodka i have...... i wonder what the actual percentage of acetone that is in these shelf likkers.....

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
It is good news with bad.
