you should have a read of the MDS for the product
if it has more than tin and silver in it IMO it's not safe

but at a guess as silver and tin are not a "liquid" at room temp then it's got other stuff in it if it's like putty / glue

i reckon it's unsafe

maybe ask around a few mates and find some soldering gear
you could use one of these old school soldering irons i reckon if your preheat you parts a little

i have one i use form time to time for stuff and heat it with a burner

Definitely NOT something you want to be using.

Likely its a cyanoacrylate based glue

Yup... I'd deem it unsafe. You can get a small torch and solder for pretty cheap. It's real easy to do with a bit of practice. Watch som vids on how to do it properly and read some threads around here (there are a couple good ones) and you'll pick it up it no time. Tell your friend to quit making poison with his still.

Here is a web site with the available copper bonds and their safety specification sheets.

youll get more use out of a cheap tourch and a bottle of latern gas than a soldering iron unless you do alot of electric connections. for around $10 youll have the tools you need to solder.
today marks the dawn of a new error.
