Worm/freezer thought?

Post by Slowninja »

Curious to know if this idea would work. Thinking about winding a worm inside a mini-freezer to save all that water (just seems like a waste). Would it work?

Yes, but i'm not talking about ice cold water.. Talking about the cold air. Could even use a mini fridge so it's not actually 'arctic' (more like 40*)?

I'm just trying to come up with a means to not be so wasteful with the water.

Get a bigger bucket. And keep using the same water. Or use it to make your next batch. Use it to fill your bath tub for a warm bath. I use to do that one. Fill your washing machine with it.

They use more water producing the electricity to run that fridge then you would cooling a worm.

Would probably be cheaper to build a cooling tower(a la wacabi, HawkingRage, Mr P) out of a drum and run it along side your worm bucket.
