Re: winding coils
I use a 1/2 inch socket set extention that is 12 inches long, for the first wind...it is knurled on the bell end and that helps provide grip. For the outer coil I found a piece of electrical conduit that barely fit over the inside coil and it worked out to have the perfect side clearances when inserted is 2 inch copper.bigbuck wrote:trying my first time winding a coil for a 2" boka colum,(should be fun)what should be the inside diameter if i am usuing 1/4 od copper? seen one usuing 1/2 inch and 3/4 black iron pipe not sure which one to use for a 2" colum
