just heat up still until you start getting product then turn it down so there is a small stream.
but most likely it wont work well.most electric burners heat then shut off only to reheat.
so the product does the same.

"What the flip is a hob?"
really its a shelf or place to put things to keep warm in/on a fire place, but English refer to a hotplate as a hob.especially one that can be sit next to table to keep things warm like you mite soup/tea/coffee.

You amaze me Dnderhead.
In that case. You will have problems with using a hob. They cycle on and off. Bit start out on high when it gets up to temp turn it down to get the take off rate you want.

Thanks for the reply its helped me very much. Just get it heated then turn it down so that what comes out of the copper pipe is just a fast drip or slow run? Am I rite sorry for all the q's.
Also if I chose to use gas this would just be the same rules.

You want a small twisted stream........bout pencil lead size. Same thing applies to gas.......... you will get better results if you choose to use gas instead of the hot plate.

"just a fast drip or slow run?"
that to me is like asking how much does a animal pee?
it depends on the animals size of course, the same goes for a pot still.
