It doesnt mill, it grinds and is hard to turn while cutting through each individual grain.

Only for fruit. Heard stories about engines overheating while grinding grains (wheat or rye) corn it even harder.
Vodka consumed wisely is harmless even in large amounts.

yes sir, takes some HP to grind. I about burned up a 1/2" drill on a simple corona mill chewing through a bag of cracked corn ( to get a smaller crack). Drill was smokin!
In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. But in practice there is.

if the corn is soaked in water or fresh malt before drying its not bad to do with a hand grinder but dried corn is a pita

http://www.midwestsupplies.com/crushing ... perly.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow has a good variety of mills. These crack the grains instead of slicing through them and most hand units can be adapted to electric motor use.

I got mine from Home depot ,,, about $28 ,, no shipping charges , it has a handle and grinds dry corn pretty good , but you will have to build a hood over the burr plates because it will fly everywhere ,,, and you can only get a 2" deep pan under the burr . but I can grind 15 pounds in 15 min .

Ga-goat, your not kidding when you say "it will fly everywhere"
I grind outside so the birds can clean up the mess after I'm done.
