My 1st run.....success

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

1st run was a huge success. Pear wash. Taste is excellent.

My first and second and third went to the likker gods, and onto my drain field.

Came out 60 proof. A little lower than I wanted. I think I caught to much of the tails, but overall I'm very happy with this.

Awesome congrats... first successful run is always satisfying
No such thing as failure unless you quit ... just some awesome mistakes along the way

If "caught too much tails" means you collected in a single container, you can avoid this by collecting in many small jars. Then you can never have too many tails in your drinking stuff.

Yeah I would read up on cuts to avoid that in future runs. Good job!
Anything worth doing is worth over doing.
