Introducing myself
Hello worldwide distillers
I'm new in this world although I did a lot of reading. I started with a very small copper still (4 gallon) made from an old boiler.
The potstill lyne arm is made off 2inch copper tubing
I will post pictures soon to show my progression so far.
Cheers from the Netherlands

Re: Introducing myself
Thanks Guys,
Here are some pics of my project so far
Almost forgot my latest brazed masterpiece to attach a 2 inch copper pipe on top of my boiler
I learned a lot during this experience, like brazing copper with stainless steel ferrules.
Now I 'am focusing on the electric parts for controlling my 3 kW heater.
Maybe I can put this information into a separate item for pot still building
Cheers Alco_Selfie

That looks like a nice setup. good work Although it looks like you have been doing a lot of research already I just want to add that in case you haven't yet, check out the first link in my signature. It's sot of a beginners guide to the required reading.

Very nice work. Love the copper. What kind of rod did you use to braze the copper to stainless?

@ fyfo I wIll start with whiskey and gin and see hoe it goes. It s a small still but I can always do an upgrade to a beer keg.
@ben I use 1.5 mm 55% (Ag) silver solder

Cool, good luck with the gin and whisky! Yes you can always go to a larger setup in the future once you get the hang of things. Again, great work on the copper build. Cheers.
