This i an interesting little tool.. But price is higher than I would pay.. be interesting to see the fermentation temperature vs sg drop with different yeasts

very nice tool! It would be interesting to build one based on Arduino mini. I wonder how they read the sg

Good grief. I imagine it's like watching a pot of water boil....just sit and watch....and watch...and watch...

I think for 120USD, I could invest in something with a higher priority. Checking a falling gravity in a fermenter is not really necessary...just check it when the bubbles stop. Otherwise, it's not done fermenting.

Brewing has been done for hundreds of years without an electronic device to tell you the gravity of the ferment at a given moment. Even commercial breweries simply pull a sample when they want to monitor progress.

Neat gadget for the guy who "has more dollars than sense".

I'd say neat gadget for the guy who is curious enough to build his own!

I won't buy one. It will dump the data to a spreadsheet. I think this would be good for beer making more than stilling but if a certain temp range / ferment time produced a better product... might be worth experimenting with.
