mixing 2" and 3" columns

I am currently buying parts for a modular 2" column still.
I have a 2" column and dephlegmator.
Ulitimately wanting to get a bubble plate.

After reading lots I am thinking of going for a 3" bubble plate rather than 2", be a while before I can get that.

If I got a 3" column, would there be an advantage putting the 3" column below the 2" column and dephlegmator?
