Hi, I’m Dustin from the South East US. I’ve read the entire UJSSM thread so figured it was time to join.
Got into the hobby when I bought a lot of brewing/distilling stuff from a lady whose husband had passed away. It came with the Chinese stove top 5 gallon models. I bought a whiskey kit from one of the online sellers.
It was a huge disaster for a newbie to be sparging grain in the kitchen, late at night because I didn’t know how long it took.
I sold that still and bought a keg still. I’ve been running it detuned for my sour mash. I have a mentor online that gives me tips and advice.
I live on the coast, so space is tight. I ferment in the guest bathroom bathtub. I’ve been running outside, but it’s rained the last two times, so I’m going into the kitchen next weekend.
Now I have to go find another thread to read.

Welcome.
Read till your eyes bleed. Be safe, have fun.
If you are running in the kitchen, I'm hoping it's an electric still?

A good starting point is reading through the required reading links at the bottom of every page. Those will undoubtably lead you down many rabbit holes

Cheers and welcome!

Thanks for your replies. Did the newbie reading last night, then started on a couple of Odin’s T&T recipes.
