Hello everyone, long time lurker born in nz living in sydney now. I’m a chef so I’ve always been around alcohol in the industry and have met some pretty cool folks along the way. I guess I first became interested in distilling after wondering why my step dad was always out in the chicken coop later at night or why the chicken coop never had chickens yet he always had bros meeting him there to buy eggs off him? Anyways about 5 years ago I got a t500 “I know, I know” with a few buddy’s for work to make isolated botanical infusions for work which led to looking into washes which led to me finding you amazing lot. My boss is going to set aside some space for me at one of our factories to start R&D for spirits and general brewing. I think I will build a wee still for this place and gets to it asap. Thank you all for being such a valuable source of information.

Welcome to HD. Interesting path to start distilling, I'm sure you'll figure this stuff out quickly with your food back ground.

Welcome, when I was doing design work for a local company he had me doing R&D but his definition was Rob and Duplicate. :moresarcasm: Make sure you check out the Tried & True recipe section.
