Re: Bourbon reviews
I like this one:
Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select (90.4 Proof/$35)
"Everything that's old is new again" should be Woodford's motto. Louisville's own wine-and-spirits giant, Brown-Forman rescued the old Labrot & Graham distillery in Millville, and installed copper pot stills shipped from Scotland. The only bourbon produced in a true pot still in very small batches. On the market only since 2001, the bourbon ages for six years in barrel before release. This is heady stuff: full-bodied, smooth, rich and extremely viscous. A bourbon for hedonists and pleasure seekers. Fleshy, sensual, round and warm. Flavors reminiscent of dates dipped in vanilla sauce and caramel. Tasting Woodford Reserve sent a welcome shiver down my back.
Nice facility, one of my favorite tours also.

Re: Bourbon reviews
My dad is a big wiskey drinker and he is turning me into one. We have been tryin different stuff lately until I get the hang of it good. Anyway, bought a bottle of Blanton's single barrel. Cute little bottle, cost $40 for a 750ml. OUCH! By far, The best Bourbon Ive tasted. None of The chemically heads usually associated with comercial wiskey (As there shouldnt be for the price) I bought a bottle for Dad for Father's day, We drank it. He liked it so He bought another. The second bottle had a slight taste of tails, not bad though. Have to say it was the best Commercial bourbon I have found. Now.. I just need to duplicate something of the sort.

Re: Bourbon reviews
Had my first mixed drink with this this evening. The wife and I went out for dinner and I ordered this. The review above is a fair review. Nice full flavored. No sting or off taste in the aftertaste. A good target to shoot for.Hillbilly Rebel wrote:I like this one:

Re: Bourbon reviews
Kentucky cops are hard on DUIs. Therefore I always try to buy the most expensive bourbon I can find. That way I can't afford enough to get drunk.
