River floods

Post by Mud Mechanik »

I hope everyone near the Mississippi and Ohio rivers have made it through the floods. Now the Army corps of engineers are going to open the Merganza spillway north of New Orleans and purposely flood 200,000 acres of swampland and fishing grounds, and several smaller cities to protect the city of New Orleans. My sympathies go out to all of those affected by this very difficult decision. Hey Wolfie, put your still in the attic and come on over :eh: Good luck to you my friend.

Thanks for the sentiments -- watching the waterways rise. I'm just west of path and should have minimal flooding. There will be scores of folks that take it square on the chin.
