Chrome plated brass mini ball valve

I have a chrome plated ( i think is brass ) 8mm ball valve for a mini boka i will be building, around the ball bit inside i can see a white plastic type seal would this be safe to use even with pickling?

I wouldn't use Chrome plated anything.
It'snotsocoldnow.

find the manufacturer and ask them if the seals are PTFE if not don't use it. stainless steel and PTFE have no questions. cob

Thanks for the replies, would there be any issues if i mad a simple valve out of untreated wood?

I would love to see a wooden valve that could regulations the output of a LM. With out swelling so much that it wouldnt work or should choke the output over time.
