Heating element question

Post by Mackman »

Does anyone have any experience with this heating element?

I'm thinking it might be cost effective for me because its a complete unit with heating control.

You will have to bypass the thermostat to make it useful.

@ Mackman,

That particular item is just a 1500 watt element with a self-contained thermostat the cycles the element completely on and completely off. It is not suitable for use in heating a Still. Any heating device that cycles completely on and completely off is not suitable for use in heating a Still.

Looks GOOD! But these guys are right! You would have to do the bypass. Just get a couple of hot water heater elements to light up you still!
