I'm not sure if this is the place to post this but i was just up at my local scrap and crap and found 2 15 gal sanke kegs setting in the corner.
When I asked about the i was told that they do all of the scrapping for the local beer distributor and would let me have the 2 they had left for 25 a piece!!
I don't know but it might be something to look in to if you have a scrap yard handy.
Some scrap dealers will deal with folks and some don't. No one in my area will even consider reselling copper or stainless. It 'bout kills me to see folks carry'n on bout the goods they are able to pick up. All I get 'round here is, 'we don't resell'. Take advantage if you can. Always thank about the weak and disadvantaged amongst the group and offer up a thought or two.

I got mine originally at a liquor store, the owner sold it to me gladly, after reading post though this isn't the best way because the beer companies actually own them. I didn't know this at the time, but if a scrapyard has one and it's fixing to be melted down I couldn't think of a better way of rescuing it and let it live it's life out as a still Just my thinking on it
