Lemon Juice- copper screen

I had some copper bulets that were very dirty, I use a bottle of cheap lemon juice concentrated and soaked them in it, 15-20 mins they were copper color again, How would this work to clean out the copper condsentor and pipes, could you use your set up without any other work.
I also have a big roll of copper screen, what can it be used for in our hobby, Pic looks like brass, but its copper. Thanks- Joe

If you are asking if you can simply clean your equipment with lemon juice and forgo any further cleaning......... no you cannot.
Can you use it to assist in cleaning..sure
The copper screen could possibly work for column packing can you post a pic of the copper screening?

+1 a lot of people use lemon juice or citric acid to clean still parts. But if your building a new still. Or a new part to add to your still. You should still fallow the new still cleaning procedures. Found in the must read new distiller reading lounge.

The copper screen. Are you sure its 100% copper? And not copper coated or something? I remember someone not that long ago getting some copper screen thinking it would work. And found out it was only copper coated.

The copper screen is copper, I used acid to strip it, burned with a torch and used a magnet on it. Just on a 2 in. piece of it, its copper and I got alot of it. I bought it at a sale from a machince shop. I will clean my pipes out with the lemon wash and water to follow, Joe
