Depending on the model, u might be able to just move the temp probe, mine was riveted to the bottom of the surface inside the unit. Drilled e, out and moved it towards the inner front and no more cycling. There is a thread some were about it.

No idea what that means. When I took mine apart I saw a few wires and everything else was inside the knob

I'll explain it the best I can unless someone can tell me how to upload pictures. It has 2 wires on it that go from the temperature control knob to a little metal board that the burner coil comes off of. On the temperature control know where the wires are theres a little white circle thing that the wires are connected to. One on top and one on the bottom (wires). The burner I have is a little cheap rote aid burner. The brand is living solutions ands its 1100 watts

You have to resize it down. With the widest side of the pic being 600 pixel. Should be able to do this with any photo editor. Or even paint.

Basically to bypass the switch. You will have two wires from the element. And two wires coming in from the plugin. You need to connect one of the wires from the plugin to one of the wires to the element. Then connect the other two wires together. One of those connections are probably already made for you. And the only one you would need to worry about is the one that runs through the switch. And insulated the two different connections. So they can't arc or ground out. . Or shock you. There may be a third wire coming from the plug. It would be green and is a ground. It should be grounded to the metal case. As a further safety precaution.
Caution
This mod will make it so that the element will be on full blast. Any time the unit is plugged in. So it would be recommended that you plug it into a controller that has a way to shut it off.

Just hook the element straight up to the cord that plugs into the wall.

The cord the plugs into the wall is split into two. One going to the element and one going to the temperature switch

Yes and one coming from the switch to the element. Connect the two wires that connect to the switch together. Taking the switch out of the system.

A picture speaks a thousand words ... read Mr. P's instructions while you look at the pic ... something like this:

Connecting the extra wire (blue) isn't necessary ... but it keep it out of the way ... and available if you want to restore the plate to normal operation.

Got it! Very nice diagram thank you! What happens to the wire going from the element to the controller? Looks like they wrapped it around something

Make sure it has a space under it to let some of the heat escape, keep a hand on the temp of your pot . Maybe throw a simple switch in the line for a kill switch.

Waring 1300 , been using it this way for a while. One internal pic of the thermocoupal just removed from its spot, drill up couple of rivets and remove the aluminum bracket. 2nd internal pic new position of thermocoupal. It doesn't cycle any more.

Here's a better one. It's the thermocoupling just after being removed.

I also use a waring 1300 watt, I purchased a router speed control at harbor freight for under $20.00 . I did no modifications , I just plug hot plate into control and adjust power as needed. It will really find tune to what ever temp I need.

I have a 6gallon pot, the thermostat is set the whole way up. I run it on full till it comes to temp and then I switch it to variable , can control temp very precise. The unit does not cycle
