What happened Johnny Reb? Ya used to post in proper English, then it switched to a venacular that doesn't actually exist in usage. Now we get:

My family is from the Deep South, Gulf Coast. No-one there talks like that.

Are ya just postin' drunk and makin' it up as ya go? If so fine, but the last time I saw "Southern English" written like you write it it was a very prejudice Brittish Lady makin' fun of us American Southerners. Is that what yer after?

I asked him once before about posting drunk. Dunno if that's it, but it's difficult to read, nonsensical and offputting. Pity too cause a lot of good info and knowledge going to waste by dumbing it down there, Johnny. I know a bloke who gets a thick Irish Brogue when he drinks enough, it's about the same to listen to as Johnny is to read sometimes.

distillers yeast

Post by partonken »

I tried a 23 litre sugar batch first time with 2 tablespoons distillers yeast, pitched for 2 hours in warm water with a bit of sugar. 1 can of tomatoe paste, 2 tsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp of yeast nutrient, airated well, and it after 6 weeks it stalled out, so i ran it at 1.02 sg.

i find it works much better with a 1/4 cup of distillers yeast, and dont change anything else.

I tried using 12 litres of backset from a sugar wash, and it finished in less than 7 days! I think the yeast liked the lower acidity and maybe the dead yeast were feeding the new yeast colony Good luck!

J.R. -
people I know from Louisiana, Georgia and Texas don't consider Texas to be part of the South, unless you're talking about Mexico.

Texas is Texas. Don't disgrace yourself by blaming your computer or the early morning hours. And please don't disgrace the South with weak attempts at writing southern.

Texas, southern? Damn, next thing you're gonna claim that Country music is the same as Western music. I like 'em both but they aren't the same.... (that goes for both southerners and Texans as well as Country and Western music.)

BTW: CasinoBoy. There's a whole lot of information on fruit washes in the Wiki.
