links from home distiller

Post by Bsnapshot »

I want to send a link of a topic from this sight to a friend and in the address line of my IE browser it just has http://homedistiller.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
and when I click on a new topic it stays the same. If I copy and paste it in an email it just takes you to the home page. This is the only sight that it dose it on. Normally I just copy and paste the link in an email. Does anyone know how to change this?

Try this.

1. click on Preparing wash / Sugar Based / Acidity (any link will work, but I happened to randomly chose this one).

2. Right click on any part of the "normal" page.

3. Select "Properties" from the right click menu.

4. In the middle of the properties page, is the URL address. It can be selected by left click and drag selection.

Thus this page I was on is:

http://homedistiller.org/sugar/wash-sugar/acid" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Which if you read the menu I selected, shows that the URL is correct.

H.

PS, If others think this is helpful info, I can move this to "novice" section

That'd be good husker, I've wanted to link to the main site a few time but couldn't figure out how. Maybe sticky it?

On a Mac, using Safari browser, go to the particular section you want, then control-click in that section and select 'Open Frame in New Window'. The direct link will be in the address/URL bar of the new window, just copy and paste.

This is in OS 10.3.9, with Safari 1.3.4, might be different in newer versions of the system or Safari, and I haven't tried it in Firefox browser.
Be safe.
Be discreet.
And have fun.
