translucent floaties in my fient jar

Post by planohog »

Long weekend, went to the swamp, decided to do something with my feints jar, looked at it, and it had translucent floaties in both jars. Not sure what they were but I dumped them, it was 30abv about a gallon total, just wondering , i figured nothing would live in that . I thought feints lasted forever.

Very likely oils that carried over in tails. They dissolve in concentrations in the upper 40% range, can easily be filtered out when cool and disappear when warmed.

oh well , next time i heat it up a little and see if they dissolve, I wanted to add it to something, but did not want to take a chance and blow it up, there is a great deal of labor that goes into a mash, thank you ,.
