Bucket stills heat the wash to a lower degree than a pot still or reflux still, and perform a stripping run rather slowly. Many times they are heated by an aquarium heater, and use simple air-cooling condensers. While these types of stills do remove alcohol from the wash, the end product is not particularly clean or palatable.
