Re: Help with apples asap

I make my own apple cider and always leave enough to do a strip run and spirit run, Now to process the apples I dice them up and use my corona mill, a bucket on each side one infront to catch the pulp and one at the rear to get the juice as it pours out the rear of the mill. Then the pulp is placed ...

Ok for all you guy's that make this terrible drop with spring coming on we have a massive true wormwood which is the type of wormwood used in the recipe. The original plant was bought from a nursery that only deals in true species. Off memory when I started distilling I did mention about this recipe...

Re: Thick tape for gasket (link)

When I first made my 4 plate bubbler for the seals I cut some 1.6mm paper gasket and put a full roll pfte on to make the gasket. Every time I broke apart the connection before another connection was made 2 pass's of the pfte was applied so a fresh new seal can be made. Now doing this many times has ...

Re: Parrot for Pot Still

I built myself a Parrot which I had planned on using with my spirit runs. Having done two spirit runs so far, I am unsure as to the necessity of a parrot for this purpose so school me. Stand alone parrots are good when doing spirit runs, just use a 50ml measuring and 50ml beakers so each cut can be...

Well with no work got another long weekend so this morning went out to the back of the farm with my detector, first scanned the ravine and it didn't take long for the detector to go nuts on a spot. Every few hours I do give it a stir and tomorrow I'll run it thru my minime. Al...
