stripping column

We don’t condone the use of Continuous Stripping stills as a method of running 24/7 as this is a commercial setup only .
Home distillers should never leave any still run unattended and Continuous strippers should not be operated for longer periods than a Batch stripping session would typically be run to minimise operator fatigue..

these are crap i have seen one at the home brew shop (not that my local guy has ANY idea what the F^&* hes talking about) and its a slant plate reflux but it has a ball gate valve (yes thats right plastic seals inside) and Teflon tape holding the valve on...

if you mean you have a larger column and are thinking of adding this to the top. i don't think it will keep up with much input power, and you'd want to put on a needle valve

they are better than the "super reflux" still but only just... just make your own for about 1/3 to 1/4 the cost with a peice of 2" copper, some 3/8 copper , a hack saw and a small gas torch you can have it built in an afternoon and if you spen the same amount of money you could have a MUCH bigger tower

The way I'm reading this is that sconly already has one of these units and wants to try running it in continuous mode rather than batch mode... Can you please confirm this, sconly...??? It might help in getting more accurate and timely support...

damn boy... why 400L?
Got A LOT of friends? like to run your still one week in the year?

Just curious...

I don't understand a whole lot about continuous stills.. but I'd say if you want a continuous one for stripping, look up a plan for a continuous still and see if it's doable for you? other than that, theres the possibility of spending a butt load on copper or stainless sheet metal and making a keg-shaped pot at 200 or 400L and doing a pot still style strip...

400L!? man. Trying to blow up a small country?
