Surge Milker as a Boiler?

Post by Mantix »

I found this on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.com/VF48-VINTAGE-SURGE- ... 1|294%3A50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Do you think it could make a good stove top boiler for a short reflux column? it holds 5.5 gallons and i only do 4.5 gallon washes. it's stainless and has a modifiable lid. any thoughts?

Yep... That would work fine... You stole one of my ideas... My uncle has retired from farming (actually in a nursing home now) and I was considering seeing if my cousin still has any of those kicking around... Should still have at least a half dozen in the milk house that were up until a couple of years ago... "Vintage"... Gee, makes me feel old...

Price isn't bad... It would definitely be unique...
