Hi all! I've got a ? about attaching the column head
Can I use a copper bowl? It seems easier than trying to find a suitable bolt on flange for 2" pipe.

Yes, as long as it is solid copper and not just copper plated... Several members have made their own copper boiler tops recently...mikeofa2 wrote:Can I use a copper bowl? It seems easier than trying to find a suitable bolt on flange for 2" pipe.

I'm pretty ocd about food sanitation. What I do is just drop a small chain in the keg and add a little oxy clean. Being that the keg is filled with boiling hot acidic liquid any bacteria that could make you sick is going to die.
If you end up not liking the uncut keg system you can always cut the keg at a latter date.
