Listening to Freddy Mercury sing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is so eerily prophetic that it sends chills down my spine... That song came out way before he was diagnosed with AIDS yet you can read so much between the lines of those lyrics... :?

Some country, from when it was still country; some rock (AC/DC, KISS, Lynnrd Skynnrd come to mind); SOME classical; good southern gospel; some bluegrass; everything by Warren Zevon; everything by Johnny Cash; everything by Johnny Horton. Everything by Creedence Clearwater Revival. ZZTop. Some Brazilian music (I lived there for several years); No rap. None. No showtunes. My appreciation is defined more by what I really dislike than what I enjoy, as I am fairly eclectic in my taste for styles of music. I don't like most opera, but Wagner's entire Ring cycle is in my bucket list.

Before I say this.. don't judge me :P

I'm a white boy from a well off family, and no, none of my friends or anything listen to this kind of music, but damn, when I listen to it I just reckon these dudes can work some magic with lyrics!

I'm a huge fan of the Wu Tang Clan - for those who doesn't know who that is, they're a rap collective, 9 MCs who can ALL rap better than anyone else.. pretty much ever.

Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, GZA and Method Man are my favourites, here's a track featuring all of them.. give this a listen, from start to finish,s see what ya reckon! Ignore the slightly (:P) violent messages and listen to it from a purely lyrical viewpoint.. fuck, these guys can spit!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR7kVnh3PlI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

That's an extended version of the track, the first minute is an intro. A pretty cool intro though.

Also 2Pac and Biggie (Notorious B.I.G.)

I like a bit of rock as well, Tool, Deftones, and a bit of all sorts..

I think everyone loves Hendrix, Floyd and the great jazz artists (Miles Davis, Coltrane etc).. or they should!
