Nickel plated needle valves

Ok I have used the search function, can't find anything so........ are nickel plated needle valves ok to use?

Looking for cheaper needle valves has been hours and hors of work, I can find them in the US (but no-one seems to ship to Australia for some reason)

I queried the seller of those Old MacD. Unfortunately they cannot provide a spec sheet and have no idea what material the seals are made of.

I have one of those valves right infront of me, and the only non-metal part is a small o-ring where the handles stem goes into the valve. And its easily wrapped in ptfe tape.

I can't help but wonder if the interior distillate contact surfaces are plated as well.
