combininb various feints for neutal?
I have probably 25 gallons of various feints (heads and tails), ugssm, sf, rum, all bran, bw...etc
Can these all be combined to run in my boka for neutral, or should they be left separate?

I love mixing them all up and re running.
It usually turns out great. You can always try steering the flavor in a certain direction too. Say you mixed up 8 gallons of feints and need to dilute it with 4 gallons to run a 12 gallon batch. You could use 4 gallons of juice, or 'tea' made from something like crystal malts... This is a great opportunity to experiment.

Or, put baking soda on it and let it sit a week and get a pretty damn clean neutral. I just did this with all my feints. I was amazed how much the baking soda was able to do.
I like junkyards idea better, but, you can get some pretty decent neutral.

I recently mixed 'em up with gin botanicals. That so far is my favorite...

No baking soda required... Mix them together, dilute to 40% or less, and reflux them... I've never had an issue getting clean neutral from straight or mixed feints...

Thanks guys....I had only ever run sugar washes for neutrals before. I will add them all together, dilute and run them at once. Well two runs actually due to the amount.

running well...but 3000 watts was just not enough for the size of my boiler. I upped it to 5500 and it works great!

+2... Yep, my feints never get over the 30L mark. The VM refluxes the hell out of them.rad14701 wrote:No baking soda required... Mix them together, dilute to 40% or less, and reflux them... I've never had an issue getting clean neutral from straight or mixed feints...
But I'm all for experimenting too, just that Mrs Sam like her vodka very clean...

I would say reflux heads separate from tails, if you have sufficient volume of each. There doesn't seem much sense to me in separating heads, hearts, and tails and then mixing two of them back together before separating them again.
