My last word; any home distiller on these forums getting on a high horse about selling illicitly distilled alcohol is being hypocritical.
As long as nobody is getting hurt, there is really no moral content to either activity.

Not again... This site is intended to promote home distillation at the hobby scale for personal consumption... When we have idiots getting busted for selling it makes all of us look bad and sets back our efforts to prove that we want distilling for personal consumption to be decriminalized... It might sound far fetched to think that governments would see things our way but stranger things have happened... Our goal is to show that this hobby can be practiced safely and without breaking laws other than the actual act of distilling alcohol... We don't want all crimes decriminalized, just the act of distilling alcohol... And people wonder why we harp on new members to follow The Rules We Live By because we don't want any of them working against our goal...

This is no different than some thug stealing a gun and killing someone, making for tougher gun laws which in turn causes it to be harder for honest folks to buy and own guns... Stealing a gun and killing someone versus stealing a keg and selling distilled spirits... I haven't stolen any of my equipment and I don't sell my spirits which, at least in my eyes, is altogether different...

this happend in my county. what it didint say was he was saleing to miners. and that is how he got caught . what was funny was when the story went out about 5 of my friends and family called and ask if i got caught .that needs to be a redneck joke

You can buy 190 through the mail but it's around 30 bucks shipped to your door. I don't know the quality but it sure beats that price premium.. It's not even worth selling quarts- the time and effort involved in making the stuff right, you wouldn't recoup that in time trying to beat 30 dollars.. Maybe he was offering services on the side- just sayin Like a case of brokeback mountain
