Post up your favorite sports stories.

I am starting to get over the heart break of my Seattle Sea Hawks loosing to Atlanta. Atlanta lost to San Francisco for the right to play in the super bowl. We beat SF a few weeks earlier and I think we could have done it again and gone on to the super bowl.
Here is my favorite run ever. Our running back is nick named “The Beast” Watch this video and you will know why.
Marshon broke 11 tackles on one run.

Ever seen the movie "The Blind Side", good movie. Its a true story about a black kid with no family that is taken in by a white family, turns out he was a hellafa ball player. Well, that kid in real life has made it to the super bowl, he'll be playing for the Ravines tomorrow.

Picked Niners in the beginning of the year (against the Broncos), so go Niners! I'll add that I thought Alex Smith would be their QB and was hating on Harbaugh for benching Smith for Cap, so it's obvious I know nothing...

But hey, even a stopped clock is right twice a day, right?

Oh and BTW, I'm a degenerate gambler who's (almost) always wrong (lost a few hundred on the election and lost some more on the result of Groundhog Day...bet against me and win).

There are only 2 things I'm hoping for tomorrow.

1-My pool numbers hit.
2-Beyonce's lip sync track starts skipping during her performance.

I was at my girlfriends place in Auburn for that game, I'll never forget that run as long as I live, I had season tickets to the Hawks for years until they blew up the dome, one year in Husky stadium and I decided to sit my old ass in front of the TV for the games, it tends to rain during football season in this area sometimes :D I never miss a game and do my level best to never miss a play, get ready to watch the Hawks in the next Super Bowl.

I don't follow sports at all... Here in the US people have put sports stars and other celebrities on too high of a pedestal and I see that as a major problem with our society as a whole... Sports is just a game - period... Acting is just entertainment - period... Being overpaid and given special treatment and being worshipped is just plain wrong... People get too wrapped up in these celebrities and games and lose focus of what really matters... I have far better things to do with my time, like partaking in home distillation where I have some control over the outcome... That's my story and I'm sticking to it... :eugeek:

But those of you who enjoy sports, for whatever reason, won't be scratched off my Christmas card list... Oh, wait, I don't have a Christmas card list... :lolno:

as for me i like to watch the kids play.but not the "professionals" this is not a sport,a sport is similar to a hobby.
it is some thing that is done to pass time no money in involved but maybe a trophy. like some hunt for the biggest rack or trying to ketch the biggest fish.if you go and ketch a boat load of fish ,is this a sport? no its for food or profit.
foot ball/base ball are big money so they are not a sport.
