Anybody got any good paste recipe to seal your still from leaking vapor?

I have always used Rye flour, it's supposed to be more "fiberous" and it does dry strong. It's always worked well just mix a handfull with a little water till it get about the consistency of biscuit dough, a little wetter is ok too. Good luck1

Also make sure that you don't over water you want the paste to be on the thicker side!

I've been trying to work up good proportions for a simple flour and warm water paste because so many folks think flour paste is a PITA and hard to clean up... Somewhere in the range of a flour:water ratio of 3:2 gives me a mixture that is closer to tacky paste than dough which can then be spread with one finger, stays in place without running, seals as the still warms up, never leaks, and can be cleaned off with a moist rag or rinsed off under running water... I'm clueless as to how it can be considered difficult to work with or messy... I only use less than half of a mixture consisting of 3 level tablespoons of bleached white flour and 2 tablespoons of hot water, adjusted for consistency...

I keep mine in a squeeze bottle so I can direct it a bit better. If it dries out, just put a bit of warm water in there and shake it around.
