Scrap the turbo and get serious about the hobby... Plenty of good recipes in the Tried and True Recipe forum and none of them specify 3+ pounds of sugar per gallon... And now you know why... It takes too much nutrients and stresses the yeast and makes blue kool-aid...
Re: Bluest of Blue
I see what looks like a blue motorcycle.

Add baking soda to low wines. It'll precipitate copper carbonate. Add a small amount of citric acid; this will form ammonia citrate and copper citrate (careful for bubbling, add citric acid slowly). Neither will make it through distillation. Distill it again, it will come out clear and much cleaner smelling.
As said here, everyone hates Turbo yeast because it's basically commercial distiller's yeast offered with a baffling amount of yeast nutrient, most of which is a chemical known to cause off flavors in excess.
In the future, if you have this issue again, use my process.

The still is not a liar. Mash and ferment quality is 99.9% of your performance.

If I had crap like that coming out of my still I would admit that I was a total failure in life in gainful endeavors and start running for office or join the ministry The only alternative I could see would be to ead this forum until my eyes bled , rest a bit , and continue reading .

Re: Bluest of Blue
Not a total waste... if that is distilled, not the wash, just put it in yer oil lamp and have a pretty display. DON'T light it, however...

+1 goose eye, when I was a kid I drank domestos from a lemonade bottle, I thought it was lemonade? As an adult, I drank brake fluid/hydraulic oil from a lemonade bottle. thought it was Irn Bru.

In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. But in practice there is.
