Triac on router controller broke....

Post by crossedrifles08 »

Ok, one of the legs broke off of the triac, I believe thats what they're called, on my router controller. Needing to replace it. Any advice on what part I should order?

Order the one you broke, based on its part number...

Rad, I'm not finding the exact part. Based on my research I'm understanding it's a 600v 25A unit, sound about right?

And no, it cannot be soldered. It broke off at the body.

That would work... You can always go up on voltage but not down... Same with Amperage, within reason based on load...

Got the new triac in today from china... Seems to be almost identical, and has the same base part number. BTA26600B 600v 25a... Will solder it up when I get a few minutes to do so. Afterwards I'll test it out and see how it goes.
