I've been reading on all grain mashes..
Right off, I read its best not to use internal elements.

Well... I have built my small operation around a heating element.
So should I call it quits?

Do any of you guys use an element?

Internal elements are just fine as long as you don't attempt to distill on the grain... Any wash will do fine with an internal element, even all grain, just as long as the wash is racked and cleared well before charging the boiler...
