Question about gas for propane torch
Before I run out and spend money on more propane, I happen to have several cylinders of gas in the shorter fat squat bottles which I have for a Coleman lantern and a Coleman heater. I assume the only difference is the shape of the bottle? Not knowing a lot about soldering with a propane torch, I figured the safest bet is to ask those who know. I only see this shape in stores camping department, where plumbing departments only seem to have the traditional longer thinner cylinders. Am I good to go with the squat bottles on a torch? Nothing in the torch instructions mentions this.
Thanks in advance,
Russellc

Re: Question about gas for propane torch
They have the same propane gas as the regular longer bottles. You can get the special map gas cylinders that burn a little hotter. You're good to go.
My Grandpa used to say. Don't argue with an idiot, because he will just drag you down to his level then beat you with experience.
He also used to say. I didn't say it was your fault. I just said that I was blaming you.

WOW! Iwent to the grocery and when I came back, my cat had built a 3ft Liebig condenser!
How do I post pics here? I dont see a "manage attachments" tab? Looked at "control panel" as per forum instructions, but still no manage attachments that I can see. Is there a required number of posts before one can post pics, or am I looking right past it on control panel?

Look below your post compose window, below the first Submit button... And posting is covered HERE... The part about attaching from within a forum post isn't there because it should be obvious when posting...Kentuckyman wrote:How do I post pics here? I dont see a "manage attachments" tab?

Yes, I have read that section. Below my submit button, there is no manage attachments tab. Perhaps I should try a different browser than google chrome?
Below my submit button is only an Options with boxes to check: "Disable BBC Code"
"Disable smilies"
"Do not automatically parse URLs"
"Attach a signature"
Notify me when a reply is posted"
Then it shows the posts again...
I belong to many forums and am familiar with the usual procedure for doing so...but, like I said already, There is no "manage attachments" Anyone else using Chrome? Maybe I should try FF or IE?

It must be some anomaly. On the Artisan Distiller forum there is a manage attachments button by the "Options" It just does not appear for me on this forum!

No I dont. It looks just like the included post below, minus that tab! Only options.OlympicMtDoo wrote:Something is haywire, I'm looking at in right now and on mine just to the right of options it has a tab for Upload Attachments, you don't ?

Just tried it with firefox, still no tab beside options with this browser either. I will try IE next. Only the "options" tab shows...
