Birthday Bliss

Post by Grappa-Gringo »

As I'm working tomorrow (on my birthday) my family gave me breakfast in bed today prior to them going to school and work...
This gave me a free day to distill...to which I took full advantage of.
I started with a "faux" bourbon.... cracked corn and a mix of COB.... came out very smooth... got just over a gallon and a half... put it under some charred Oak... and I'll let it sit...
Then I moved onto a Cherry Schnapps...based off a can of cherries, 96oz, and a can of cherry puree.... 48oz..and sugar.... This one surprised me... 5 gallon wash turned into just under a gallon @ 52% overall...
I'm running a pot still so I didn't expect that much at that percentage....
Now....what to make... 2nd generations???? hmmmm lol
They say, "you are what you eat"... Then I'm fast, easy and cheap!
