There is just something about it that draws me in. From the time I soldered my first joint 5 years ago, I was hooked. I have learned to never throw away a single scrap, chunk, piece or shaving of these precious alloys. I would love it if you all would post any random pic of your metal creations here. I will continue to do the same. If anybody has any questions or comments, I welcome you to speak and post freely in this thread. I would never tell anybody to go search and read. However that is the only way you will learn anything and I recommend it. Anyway, you guys are great and I look forward to seeing what you all have been up to.

This is the most beautiful keg build I have ever seen.

If I felt confident I could make a keg that pretty I would not be saving up for the 25 gal. milk can.

I found these 4" angle grinder polishing disks from a local hardware shop here in Missouri, that make it a breeze to shine anything. I will post a pic of them tommorow. It's is more of a pain to cut the rim off them to be honest.

And,,,,, I'm very excited to see what everyone's been posting and showing off lately!

I apologize if my forum topic is redundant fellas. Lately, I have been trying to get away from using any type of manufactured parts and/or pluming fittings in my "projects". The flanges I posted are still a work in progress. Rather than showing off your stills. I would love to see or hear how you guys have "made it work" with what ya had to work with. Personally I tend to take it to the extreme. By spending hours of labor and frustration trying to fabricate a $6 part, lol, but it's so much fun!

In fact here is an 8"×4" triclamp reducer I put together with a peice of keg I had laying around.

Here is the sight glass manifold in progress. Don't give me to much credit on that one fellas. Its not like I had any idea what I was going to do with it at this point. My wife actually made the suggestion to use it for a fluid level indecator... I was just playing around trying to make a couple 90° fittings

That way you get a truly one-of-a-kind piece! I'm always impressed by the creativity and ingenuity, as well as the raw talent on display on here.

Well.... It started life as one of these.

Then I just started melting copper ground wire into it.

at this point I was quite intreged...

It looked like this after I through it into a bucket of water.

little sanding with the angle grinder.

Now I'm all hung up on building a propane fired forge to attempt to sand cast.....something

I was thinking it could find a new home as a filler neck on the next one.

There were failures. This was a long night of R&D....
