Malt o meal and oat meal

Post by realtree71 »

Anyone ever use malt o meal? How'd it turn out? Or oat meal? I've been adding oat meal to my sweet feed recipe.

Did you do a search...??? It's been done...

Edited to add: Before you think I'm just being an ass, consider this... We aren't going to go search for you... And members come and go so expecting someone to give a whole summary, after already having done so in the original topic, is unrealistic...

Consider this I've been coming here for over 10 years and a member for over 6 years obviously with only 55 post pretty much all I do here is read and learn. I search... I search.... To search for malt o meal turns up about a ton of malt post and a couple malt o meal posts. Part of coming here is meeting folks and exchanging ideas sharing something you've done right or wrong. Being current etc

Before you consider me an ass don't think everyone with less than a 1000 post doesn't read or search we do

I've used Quaker Oats and bulk flaked oats...it all works and is already cooked for you. Use just like any grain. Bitch to strain...

I have used the steel cut Irish oats a few times as an addition to a grain bill with good results.

Speaking from experience on a sugar was oatmeal over malt o meal ever time. In a mash its six of one half dozen of the other.

reading and don't ask stupid questions you'll be alright most are
big help

Thanks for the response how would you describe the final product? Good or stick to mashing grains
