Air Conditioner Condenser, If nothing else WTF?

Thought I'd post a picture of what I'm going to try, if nothing else give everybody a good chuckle from a hick!
18 inches of copper in the vent path, temps read around 62 to 65 degrees?
What say you?

I am going to try to make that the replacement for my condenser, so cooling product.
Where my hand is at, is where the collecting jar will be, the right side is hooked up to the thumper.

That small AC unit won't work for a product condenser... We've had this discussion far too many times... They are the wrong tool for the job... Feel free to entertain yourself but the numbers just don't work like folks think they will...

Well, I guess I still don't have the search function down pat yet..
When I did searches I only came up with the air cooled condensers?
Do you think if I coiled the copper inside the vent path I would have a better attempt, or am I just toiling
a fruitless experiment?

or modify your existing condenser(as long as it is not an air conditioner)

Nope, wasn't gonna, it is just the extension pipe off of my thumper ran in front of the vent path of the air conditioner.

I was just goofing around in the shop and just thought I'd try it.
I do believe I will get around 3 feet of copper and coil it in the vent path, instead
of running a straight shot, but it prolly won't work? I just thought if his (MJ's) worked on just
computer fans, then this possibly could work?
I welcome any feedback, I'm only here to learn, and I love what I have learnt here so far!

You can squander your time but I highly doubt you will be satisfied with the results... We've had folks try AC units, refrigerators, and freezers without success... They just can't keep up and you risk burning out the compressor... I have worked with refrigeration enough and we have several HVAC professionals that would also suggest not wasting time and effort... And if you build an air cooled condenser you really don't need the aid of the AC unit... Use the right too for the job and be done with it...

SL, those look like some damn fine builds!

Notice that those just use air blowing across them not the expense of running an air conditioner that cannot keep up with the BTU output of a still as Rad has been pointing out.

Better idea would be to use a water reservoir and pump and gut the AC and use the AC condenser coil in the water return path using the coil to pre cool the water before it goes to the reservoir.
