:shifty:

Hi from sunny skies summer South Africa, a stone's throw from the Southernmost tip of Africa where the Two Oceans meet, Indian and Atlantic, I'm nestled in the heart of the Garden Route, Wilderness.
Thank you for having me here.

Welcome, sounds like a nice place to live. It seems like we are having a lot of interest in the hobby this last year from South Africa. Looking forward to your comments on the forum.

Thanks everyone!
Yes admittedly I've been cruising stealthily for about 3 years, and when suddenly one day *bang* the whole site was a Skelton and being deconstructed I was so bummed for not having saved anything of all the wisdoms there to my notes ...stupid.
I still wonder what happened there...?? Anyone..anyone..??

So I fiddled around with a little 2L bushbaby 3foot cast iron "potjie" pot. Then added a 900ml thumper.
Soon became an 8L...then the need for even bigger thumper 3.5L...then enlarged pot to 20L then 32L as it is now with a 25L thumper feeding an 18L second thumper. Bucket on bucket (about 35L volume) condenser coil with 300L recirculating water fountain pump.
It's backyard, it's really nothing to show pictures of while I'm designing a new to be built 200L pot with 80L and 40L thumpers.

I ..hmm..acquired for a bargain, some 100 containers ±25L each feedgrade thick as brown sticky molasses weighing in at around 35kg/25L so three and a half metric tons...
Now I'm needing guidance of, for me, high level since I have acquired also 2x 1000L containers I wish to ferment in. As my (50x) 20L bucket ferments deliver only ⅓ to ½ success rate and both 144L drums required days like 8 of coaxing to get going (once they did this one did it bubble and fizz like nobody's business for four days) and I haven't bothered with the 2x 210L coz..well..the thousands might be nose outa joint see...

So that's what the catalyst is in me stepping forward, because I've read and poured over poured over...hours of late nights searching for answers I simply cannot either figure out my self or find real information on.

I'd carry on relating what and how I'm doing things, and please believe me when I say no have read. And I have re read. And sonetimes too much to e goes by a few weeks so I go refresh and reread again incase I missed something or incase I ever get faced with "well .. did you read the stuff you shoulda,? Are you sure you read them enough? Maybe go back settle down and read it all again, then come ask timewastin questions!!"
We are all busy and all helpful..I cannot unfortunately contribute much here as I truly do not have the knowledge or experience, but wanna know anything about building custom bikes? Domestic or rice..I've been doing that 30 odd years now many places, the US, Canada 11yrs, Dubai 8...but that ain't gonna get this rum happenin!!

Ve found this place, this bit of heaven on earth, fountain of wisdom. (By absolute mistake, I was researching the manufacturing of biodiesel in "journey to forever" where there was a link in "if you don't want to buy methanol because it goes against the whole principle of making bio fuel and supports the industry were trying to break free from and not support" something like that..now I'm too curious and when I clicked that link you couldn't even almost see it was a link, just one subtle little word and not even click *@#HERE!!! Prolly why I was intrigued... anyhow it took me to the original now non existent website where in further research I learnt that ethanol can be made for almost well free or rather one can release natural ethanol to utilise instead of methanol in the production of biofuel) but I digress...

To be able to take it all in in one go would be an impossibility at best.
To have been able to absorb what I have been able to (if only you all knew) thank you for your time and patience! Really!
