Stills are not illegal to own you can use them for distilling water. Which after use/cleaning is all that is left in mine. I only keep a small amount of 35-40% and that amount shrinks weekly. I would think unless getting caught in the act they wouldnt have much of a case.
Cant say for other states Better ya not try that in North Carolina is all I can say.

If you get caught with a still, propane, fermenters, hydrometers, jars, sugar, corn, yeast, thermometers, PH meters, carboys, moonshine etc. etc., your probably are gonna be looking for a lawyer. I don't think anyone is gonna think your making cream style corn. It's not illegal to own a still. It is illegal to make alcohol with a still.

Must be running tonite. The site is getting literally hammered. We hit almost 200 simultaneous users, just on the forum. That along with I got the wiki DB restored from backup, and the traffic on the parent site, we are seeing 50 to 100 files per second being served up. That is a pretty darn high rate of usage.

Does the high volume explain the mini HD crash I experienced earlier?

I also just got the wiki up and fixed today, and the extra database work caused by the wiki, along with the parent site hits, along with the forums is simply more than the server can handle. For now, I have temp-banned some spiders, and taken the wiki off line, for now.

I will have to get with UJ, and look at getting the server some more memory, or finding some configuration settings that allow us to work with what we have. However, with the number of simultaneous users, the server simply does not have the horsepower to maintain. Also, we have a TON of guests. Guest actually are the worse, since they do not have all of the eye candy graphic files loaded, or other stuff cached, thus actually require MORE resources than returning 'normal' users.

Well finally got chance to watch the last three episodes that I DVR'ed. What BUll Sh!t. I'm thinking about canceling my cable tv altogether now. The only thing that was real was Popcorn and whoever let Discovery use his footage should be forced to drink Tims crap indefinitely.

I had a minor freakout today when my neighbor was joking about
the full moon and my moonshine. I laughed her off and after she left
asked my wife if she knew and she said she was refering to my beer.

I cant wait for that bullshit show to disappear.

I thought it was funny he flew off in a jet with his money to go talk to investors about going legit. After seeing the show, they must have been like "Hell no!!". Cause the last thing the show said was " At this time, Tim is still illegal." or something of the sort. Guess It didn't work out for him. LMFAO

I guess one thing I'll point out is that even though the show depicts some shit house awful tactics, ethics, procedures and practices.... Seriously? A garden hose and a milk jug? No wonder Tickle is always wasted! It's the only way he can keep a strait face.
Either way, them guys are breaking the law just like a tone of people here {I must assume that some just amass knowledge without actually producing illegal alcohol} but they ended up with $$$ from it.

Which is good cause the medical cost from drinking plastic residue is going to be very costly...

The only thing they got paid for was their acting skills. The show is FAKE!!! Do you think pro wrestlers are making money on their extreme fighting skills as well????

We choose not sell our likker cause we don't wanna be someones sex slave in a federal prison. If I get caught I could easily plead for 25 hour of community service. Someone acting like Tim is gonna be fresh meat in orange overalls.

I'll stick to making $$$$ at my job.....

Let's just hope it's the last season. Maybe Tim will end up on daytime TV and Tickle will get an episode on Intervention.

I don't understand why Tim Smith never once mentioned his brother Troy on the show or on interviews. In one interview Tim Smith said he was 45 years old - his brother (the old man that the ABC agent ran into outside the convenience store) looks to be closer to 75. What is the deal with these two?

I was thinking the same thing.... I really think the show is a big fugazi to promote Tim's moonshiner jamboree festival.

And the plot thickens... Anyone who has watched The Discovery Channel or The History Channel knows that "Tim" has been depicted as a re-enactor over the past several years... Either this series was originally taped back before about five years ago or it is pretty much all fake, aside from the folklore aspects... Nothing makes me feel ripped off in paying for cable service more than being treated like a mushroom - kept in the dark and fed bullshit...

I'm with ya on that Rad. There was a "reality" show called "Operation Repo" about a vehicle repossession business. If you look them up on the IMDB website, you find out they are ALL actors.

Note, I have made edits, so that we do NOT provide any links to that jamboree site. I edited Washashore's post to turn off 'easy' URL's, and have edited RAD's post to remove the URL totally. The text for the URL is there, so people 'can' go to the site, but I do not want that site getting any google bump from linkage from HD to them.

Normally, links are not overly frowned upon. However, I am NOT going to give timmy's event ANY help. That fool is a total farce.
