Passed the fussel test but still an off oder/flavor.

Post by Nightforce »

I had a quart of product left that had a hint of heads in it so I let it air for several days. Smell improved with only a very slight, and I mean slight, scent. I diluted to ~40% and put in a clean glass and swirled it around, the off scent came back a bit. The product doesn't taste horrific but isn't the cleanest flavored stuff either. I coated the inside of the glass good and dumped out the rest, set the glass aside, and checked it this morning. I can't detect any of the odor. Just a clean glass, I can't even see a oily residue in strong light.

Anybody have some thoughts on this?

That sweetness is most likely due to a less than perfect heads cut that allowed some early heads into your hearts...

The art of cuts.
It is indeed an art. And it takes practice, lots of practice.
Be safe.
Be discreet.
And have fun.
