duplast still temps

hi all, i am new to distilling and was recen tly given a duplast still and i have run a couple of ewashes through it since i got it and both times i cant keep the temp lower than 85-87 and everything i read says that it should be 78.5. any info would be greatly appreciated

As I recall, that is a plastic still... Please see the board rules... No plastic or rubber in contact with high temperature high %ABV alcohol... At least not for human consumption...
